Scam number, said I'd been in a car accident and was owed £400k and they simply needed my debit card number, expiry date and the 3 digits on the back so they could "transfer the funds" to my account. When I declined to provide the details they told me I was "being a nerd".

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. This number called me at 16h33 on Tuesday 11th April 2023. Man with heavy Indian accent claimed to be from Microsoft. Said I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service so he shouldn't call me. Hung up, but he rang again and asked why I'd hung up. I said I'd already explained why, and hung up. He phoned a third time, and in a stroppy tone asked why I'd hung up. So I hung up AGAIN. For a fourth time, he phoned again. Didn't answer, and blocked his number. Obvious nuisance.

The person appeared to be from a debt management company. He knew my name. I told him that I do not require his services and that this a spam call.

SCAM - Call to my landline at 9.53 today. It was a pre-recorded message saying they were querying a suspicious Debit Card payment of £600 sent abroad. They did not say what bank or give any other details. I was asked to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to confirm. I hung up.
Called to say my loft insulation had unsafe material and that it could be replaced for free. She asked if I would be interested. I said yes but only if they send details by post to my address. She hung up straight away.

Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. Other numbers that called to same extent were 01330 560922 and 01689 814765, both equally as perplexing.

Some pre recorded computer voice voicemail message (I don't answer any number I don't know) something it said "case which is going to be filed against you our letter got returned please press one to avoid legal actions I" then it cut off. Blocked the number especially as its a mobile number.. Hate the sickos that do this especially as someone who suffers with severe anxiety what is wrong with the people that do this..
They texted my mum faking to be one of her children, asking to delete the old number and to text back if she's "received this text". Just a scam. The spelling and grammar was off. The text went from informal to formal. Don't reply back.
I answered the call, dead silence for a minute. I ended the call without speaking to anyone.

A chap from a loft insulation company. Seemed genuine but I had my doubts, he didn't tell me what company he was from. He didn't pressure me into buying anything. Just said my loft insulation was inefficient, I just put the phone down and blocked the number.
