This is a company which books free home assessments for damp (rising, penetrating, leaks, condensation) and issues caused by insulation previously installed under a freebie government scheme. They use a dialler to make contact and do not charge for their service. If you agree to have a surveyor visit your home they are polite and helpful. Their home assessment is free of charge. If they identify an issue they bring it to you attention. They then compare your home's issue with previous case studies.

Have been trying this number for two days and there is no response whatsoever. It seems impossible to speak to a person at Hermes...I’ve done the live chat, the question response on their website but nothing. My parcel arrived at the depot and hasn’t been heard of since.

Call from this company Indian man stated he was from citizens advice bureau and said they had received a legal application for debt I owed. I advised have no debt and he hung up

Caller claimed to be from Sky and that I was due both a new viewing card and a refund. I rang Sky back using the official number on their website and they advised that there was no record of any outbound call about either issue and that according to my account notes, neither was due. Would suggest ignoring this call and calling back Sky using a number from their website.
Said he wanted someone called Ban Newman. No one called Ben Newman could possibly have lived here for the last 20 years, as we have and had our number for 20 years and are on TPS, so either someone has misused our number or they are lying. If they call again I shall report them to the TPS and anyone else I can find.
A washing machine warranty call. Caller with a London accent asked for me by name and said the warranty on my washing machine was due to expire and that she just needed to update the paperwork and said it would actually be cheaper, started by asking to confirm my postcode & address. I said I didn't know the postcode, she asked if I'd moved, I said no. She said "(used my name) don't you want to renew the warranty on your washing machine?" SCAM calling trying to be Carphone warehouse. I know this was going to be a fraud a guy with indian accent called before. They keep changing landline numbers and I keep blocking them I have told the guy on the phone not interested. Repeating this to him multiple times hes not taken this in then I wen into repeat mode and kept repeating not interested all the time and the guy keeps trying to talk over me phone company will never do that to customer.

Automated voice telling me my insulation in the loft isn't 'up to govt. standard'. Says he's called Tom and that hey will arrange an appointment today to come and have a look at the insulation. He doesn't sound really automated, but clearly this voice is. As soon as I asked if he was a computer the phone went dead.
