Silent call just background office noise on answerphone

This is an UNSAFE number. They are a "Contractor working on behalf of a Client, whom they cannot identify for security reasons until you answer (their) security questions". Well spoken but no info on what they do or who they are. They will not even send an email but will post. Do not answer their security questions! Block the number to prevent reoccurrence.

Started calling me about 2 weeks ago, usually just after 8am or around 4pm. Answered once but now use phone s blocking mode to stop their calls. The phone logs the calls but does not respond.

So this number called me this morning, when I answered a male with an Indian accent asked for me directly (he knew who I was), I ask who was speaking and he responded he was from the Credit Investigation Bureau - I instantly asked this idiot if that is the best he and his scamming buddy s could come up with, he responded with a stutter and promptly hung up on me. A south african lady left a message with a colleague that she needed to talk to me about a private financial matter. When I returned the call, she was unable to tell me where she got my details from as her info was incorrect. Spoke to her manager Luke Taylor who was also unable to tell me where they got my details. Number showed up on my mobile, didnt recognise it and suspected PPI scam so with me being in South Africa I thought I d add to their bill by answering but they hung up

Some random agency contacted me from this number. They started the call with the usual "Good afternoon, I m xxxx is that surname". I sent them away with a flea in their ear as they didn t understand how impolite it is to call someone by their surname only (not even a Mr). If they can t get my name correct then how can I trust them to get me some business and/or pay invoices etc.
