Allegedly Vodafone ringing me to give me a 40% discount on my bill for 12 months. I don't use Vodafone. I use ASDA, so they use Vodafone as the signal, but I have no dealings or bills with Vodafone. So clearly a scam.

Poor reception where I was when I answered so they couldn't hear me, but they knew my name, eventually they hung up. I rang the number back later and immediately heard an automated message saying my custom was important to them and I would be answered by the next available agent but no-where in the message did they reveal who they were so hung up.

These tried to ring my o2 phone today 04-05-2023 ive reported it to o2 as i know nobody from the liverpool area so they have no reason to be trying to call my mobile I answered it and they slammned the phone down on me but i won't be attempting to ring them back From today our prime minister has made all cold calls illegal so im hoping these types are stopped but not holding my breath because they think they are the law and can do as they want!

I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.
