Called on our landline. Recorded message from Bank Security (didn't bother to say which bank). Apparently 2 transactions on my card (which one?!) £300 to Amazon and ..... I gave up at this point as it's obviously a scam. All our banks are based elsewhere so wouldn't phone from a local number and have mobile phones as first contact. SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.
