Said they were from Barclays in Crawley asking how I was in the pandemic.

Irish lad said he was calling about my frozen pension. i played along and made up stuff about a fictitious pension which he VERIFIED. When said I was just digging out the file to get the pension reference number he hung up, l am a pension administrator so can baffle them with terminology. Proves these calls are a scam.

they keep ringing me and dont tell me who they are and when i try and ring them back theres just a jingley belly sort of sound.

Creditsafe UK. Claimed to have spoken with wifie (a lie). I told him so and he brushed me off, saying he would call again to speak directly with her. Told him not to bother but he insisted (quite a rude man). Just a cold caller using internet data to start unpleasant sales interview.

You can use Truecaller to block calls. You will get notification that the number tried to call but when blocked it doesn t actually ring so you are not disturbed. You can pay by setting up direct debit and then cancel so not automatically taken following year. Don t take renewal quote...go on to AA site and get quote. Will be lower than renewal. Some organisations ie NHS get discount. Be smart. Play them at their own game.

This number has called 3 times today. Voice very similar to BT’s robotic voice saying ‘ You have a call waiting, press any key to continue’ I have not and will not!

Missed a call from this number. When I dialled back, the line was dead. Irritating not knowing.

Very pushy salesman re replacement windows quoting something about a scappage scheme for windows installed pre 2012. Told him house was built in 2015 so I wasn t interested but he wouldn t accept this as a reason to decline. Still talking as I ended the call. Now blocked.

16 calls from these people in a matter of 2 weeks offering PPI...despite telling them my claims have been settled!!!

I play them at their own game.....their on commotion so every second wasted hurts them, so I play along giving them false details then after about ten mins I start to ask sexually explicate questions about them, their girl/boy friends and there mums......they don t know how to react when you ask if they prefer to wax or shave the bikini line......then I tell them I have to go as their mums out of the shower and ready to go at it hard again .....they actually put YOU on the block list if you waist THEIR time

Random fund raising company, as I haven't given my details out this is a bit fishy!

PPI automated call. Will probably be followed fairly soon after with a call from a private number with some snotty nosed git who knows more about you than you d like. Don t engage them. If you do have a PPI claim print the form from the FSA website and send it yourself. Thats all these guys do anyway and they take 20% (or more) of whatever settlement you get.....
