just called by this number. A robot call, falsely claiming my (credit card?) account has been charged twice and asking me to call another number. I immediately hung up and checked my account. No such sums had been taken. The large number of calls made from this number appears to confirm a scam attempt.

Received a call saying it was International Banking Finance and that two large amounts had been withdrawn from my bank account. Asked to Press1 to speak to someone. I also received a similar call a week ago from a different number, but still the Derby code. The one that rung last week was a local business who appeared to know nothing about it.

Called me twice. Today I checked the number. The pitch: calling from my mobile provider to offer a 30% discount off my bill, then they want to know how much you pay for your bill. If you say sure - they will try and set this up on the phone, or direct you to your provider website. like this is an option, I chose my provider's website, they hung up. Today's call it was the 30% discount again - and hung up.

This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. BEWARE FRAUD/PHISHING. Got number from public info then leaves a message asking for the boss to call him back on 07561133885 - didn't leave a name, company name, email or anything - smells like a phishing attempt.
When I rang back came up as an incorrect number which is never a good sign.

03442093176 called 25Jul23 at 13:28hrs, asked for me by name, but caller unknown claiming to be calling on behalf of Nationwide, didn't give a reason for her call. Hung up with a no thank you.
They call me. No audio. Terminated (not by me) within 1 or 2 seconds. I rang back. No ring, no answer, immediately terminateed (not by me) The only possible reason for this nuisance call is to check my number is active, which the operator does not need to do, no one else has a valid reason to. Any legitamate reason to verify a phone number would include verification of the recipient, and that's unlikely because of fraud.
