Had a call from this number - I never speak, so the phone was put down without the caller speaking. However, I am registered with TPS. Looking at the comments, it seems to me that the caller has been "identified" in many different ways. I can only assume that it must originate from criminal sources.

Apparently this is HMRC, saying the same as previously mentioned. Warrant for my arrest about to be issued because I m evading tax!!

BT scam call (the caller is the scammer )

Someone extremely strange and rude.

Silent call no background noise then hung up

Phoned once. Answered it but didn t say anything. Girl asked for me by name. I made enough noise that she knew someone was there and waited a minute then hung up. Half an hour later, a man called. Joe. I said "You re coming up as a nuisance call on my phone. Why is that?". He identified himself as Joe from a company called Clear Answer working on behalf of EE. I said "I won t speak to you until you provide me with your company number from Companies House". He went quiet then tried to give me "01482489010"

Some random agency contacted me from this number. They started the call with the usual "Good afternoon, I m xxxx is that surname". I sent them away with a flea in their ear as they didn t understand how impolite it is to call someone by their surname only (not even a Mr). If they can t get my name correct then how can I trust them to get me some business and/or pay invoices etc.

Called number as thought it might be important, recorded message says nobody available to pick up call but holding me with music! They do not identify themselves which alerts my suspicions. Almost immediately I am called back and male caller asks for James, I am female. They are calling about the vehicle collision "James" was involved in. So you be the judge.
