I do not think this number is safe. Automated phone call which said ‘this is banking security’ I then put the phone dow.n. VERY SUSPECT

Recorded (Phishing?) message reportedly from HMRC suggesting prosecution was in progress and asking you to press a number to speak with someone.

Claimed to be HMRC number was from Cambridge, but when trying to phone this number back it says it isn't a valid number.

Received an automated message saying "£600 had been transferred out of my Mastercard account to a foreign country. Press 1 to stop." Hung up!

They're pretending to be iD Mobile but they're not, god knows how they're finding what mobile service we're with to try and make the text message look genuine. The text message claims the payment didn't go through with a link they want you to go to, so i checked on iD Mobile and nooo... it did go through, a few weeks ago :P and i always get another text from them and let the texts build up a bit before i delete them so coming from a mobile number you know it's a SCAM trying to get money by saying the pa

SCAM call. Claims to be Amazon prime. Taking 300 now and 1200 later. I received numerous calls from this this week. 9am 10am noon 5pm. Not All different numbers but this one not found on any who called me site. I leave all calls now to go to ansaphone as am sick to death of them all. If it's not amazon it's loft insulation or domestic appliance cover . The latter also a complete and utter nuisance. If all these callers actually got themselves proper jobs the country might not be in the mess it's in.

I heard a distorted oriental-sounding voice and all I could catch was 'bank' and 'payment to China' I think before I ended the call. A scam no doubt, and probably not from my local exchange at all.

Someone claiming to be from "Tenancy Deposit Helpline" asking if we have a private tenancy deposit. Asked where they got our details from, they said from the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, I said surely they'd know if we had a private deposit if that was where they got out details. He hung up.

There was a voice message saying it was something to do with a bank (didn’t listen properly as I thought it was a scam call) decided to dial the number as it is my area code and found it was a number connected to the hospital. Think it’s a scam call.

Potential Scam - I got a Whatsapp message from this number telling me they were looking to recruit me and that they got my number through LinkPoint (I had never signed up with them). On LinkPoint's website, it says not to respond to any Whatsapp messages as they are not from them.

020 80583227 Spam / fraud / phishing call. Well spoken Indian man asked for me by name, gave me my address & postcode, said he was from Domestic General and had checked my paperwork and as I had not claimed I can have a discount. Knew what products covered and type of policy, and paid on direct debit. Said paperwork will be here in a week. Caller fraudulently advised he was from my bank, wanting my security details, which I declined to give. He advised he was cancelling my debit card, and could not send me a new one without those details, and that a fraudulent purchase had been made with my card. Hung up, and phoned my bank, who advised it was an attempt to steal my card details. Beware, never give out details unless you have made the call to a verified number.Fraud
