Tried to take a Barclays payment and send a text asking me to confirm, SCAM
A cold call. Caller said that I had a problem with my internet for 3 weeks and his engineers were fixing the problem. Caller did not use my name or the name of my internet provider. Caller did not answer any of my questions but carried on reading from his script. I am sure that this was some sort of SCAM attempt. As usual I did not give the caller any information that would identify me or any account that I may have.

Well spoken Indian man asked for me by name, gave me my address & postcode, said he was from Domestic General and had checked my paperwork and as I had not claimed I can have a discount. Knew what products covered and type of policy, and paid on direct debit. Said paperwork will be here in a week. Claimed it was EE, but I suspect this is most likely a SCAM call centre due to the line of questioning and the fact they simply hung up on me when they weren't getting the response they were looking for.

He called me on 26/02/2023 from 17.00 on wards every 20 minutes or so till 20.00 hours i disconnected the. then around 15.00 hours he started calling again silent all the time this went on for 10 calls the i did not pick so blocked my land line by leaving phone off hook. When I rang back came up as an incorrect number which is never a good sign.
SCAM Another happy go lucky "Fraud Office" call, about "Unusual Activity on you account", who get potty mouthed when you inform them no transaction has occurred or is pending according to your banking app. Same thing everyday, so used to it I can quote the entire automated call back to them.
