I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

Called me to say there was a job available and put me through to another number who was going to give me details of the role. I was then contacted by a Carlo by WA with a pic of a woman The role was too good to be true, 30 mins a day, remote working for an unbelievable sum of money I told them I needed to think about it and they should give me more time to think about until next week. Well, the Carlo guy kept texting me randomly - first asking how I was the next day, then sending me pics of aNY ‘library’

Unsure if they are a legit company or not as obviously ended the call before giving details.

I do not answer unsolicited calls & NEVER give ANY personal information over the phone, not to even confirm my name. I suspect this is an automated dialer & more than likely a scam. This is a renewal scam phone number. Do not call them. You haven't been billed for renewing Norton (even if you are using it, this number is not Norton). They even claim the number is "toll free" - which it isn't. Also, this is not a term we use in the UK anyway, we would say it was a freephone number. The scam usually involves you logging in to your on-line bank, then them showing you that they have overrfunded you (by blanking your screen then manipulating the contents of the page).
