Called each day by this number / telemarketing to sell financial services. Asked them to remove my number from their database, they refuse to do it. -> scammers !
They’ve called three days on the run with timing getting later - 19.54 today. Fortunately for me they don’t respond to BT Call Guardian message so my phone doesn’t ring!

They will get the network to send a high value phone out to you then when you call them they will say its a mistake & to post the phone back to them RMSD & they will refund the postage. Received two calls from two different women today...much the same as already reported. I have contacted BT directly to let them know..their advice is that they know about these scammers but can't do much about the phone calls...they advised contacting your own ISP to get blocking applications...

Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated, all the same 016176801xx) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Probably calling with different offers for different comapnies, but for sure some general call centre. People did someone answer it?

These companies that provide numbers in first instance need to be investigated and blocks put in place. I think the UK regulator in the field is failing us as the public. What do they actually do??? In my opinion virtual numbers and use there of including the companies that provide these numbers needs to be monitored to stop this abuse.
