For me this number in a fraud number. Calls me for legal action against me and for more details to go through through ...I did not receive any letter

This person claimed to be my child who had smashed their phone and wanted me to WhatsApp this number, which I didn’t do. They said they had called from a friend’s phone 07599569709 which was about to die. This is terrible preying on parents. I don’t know what would have happened if I clicked on the number. Hope this helps others
Scammers!! They clone the other genuine business and impersonation them. Report them to stop them.1. report to ‘action fraud’ google ‘action fraud’. Go to the ‘police.uk’ site. Click on the ‘report a phishing attempt’ page. Read through the information. Complete the scam report starting at the bottom of this police web page. Provide a scam number plus full details including any link/internet address in the free typing space.

Received a call from this number advising me that I had opened an account with them in 2015 and they had some info for me, I said that I was not interested, at this the caller got quite irate. One minute later on 07703290831 they rang back and started to be very abusive saying that I should not have hang-up on them. Both numbers have been blocked.

Called twice in two days, claimed to be named "Alice" the first time (unlikely, given her heavy Indian accent), claimed to be from BT Openreach. We use a VOIP system so I put the phone down. Second time, gave no name but claimed to be calling from "[y]our electricity provider". I asked her which one, she took a stab at EDF (wrong), so I told her to do her homework better and put the phone down again. I checked the phone number and it was the same both times 02031295

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. I have received a text from this number saying . GOVUK: I am eligible for a discounted energy bill under the energy support scheme. It then gives me the link to apply @ https://Uk-registered.com. I haven’t opened it or applied !!!. Not sure if this genuine or a scam !?.
Probable Fraud/Scam - Heavily Indian accented female called Rachel called me purporting to be working for Microsoft at the Reading Campus. Claimed there was a problem with my computer and "bad people were using it for bad things on the internet". Told me she would deactivate my computer if I didn't do what she said. Got quite rude when I told her I didn't believe her. Stalled her for 5 minutes before she hung up on me.
This was a call to asking for short survey on rising energy costs. But only asked my name, which she already knew, and if property was rented or private? Than said thanks and goodbye abruptly, with an American sounding accent! What was this?
