I received the number 01223933956 this morning. Claimed to be a Sean with a very heavy Indian sub-continent accent, from BT Outreach claiming there were problems with my internet. I engaged with him, to spin him along so he would have less time with more vulnerable people but when he realised what I was doing he became very abusive.
Received a phone call from them. They knew my name. They said they wanted to know if I was eligible for a new boiler via a grant. Have now blocked the number.
An Indian sounding gentleman on a very bad line, claimed to be calling me from Currys PCWorld with a promotion to upgrade my cellphone (his term) for no charge, could I just confirm what phone I currently had? As I do not have a mobile contract through Currys PCWorld I knew this was a scam call and hung up.

An automated call saying that two unusual transactions had been made on my card , one of £300 to Amazon and another of £400 on a money transfer. Jack, you seem to be the only person working for BT Business as you are the only person making these sales calls, for such a large business!!. I don't believe this is BT as you can see in other searches Jack seems to be the only person making these calls, probably to gain information about your business. He didn't get any from me. Scam number, said I'd been in a car accident and was owed £400k and they simply needed my debit card number, expiry date and the 3 digits on the back so they could "transfer the funds" to my account. When I declined to provide the details they told me I was "being a nerd".

Scam number trying to get details from people after sending a fraudulent PayPal money request. They get your phone number at least which they can connect to the phone number you call them on and your name which enables them to clone your identity.

They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.
