Phoned from call center, (I think they were the magazine sellers), they offered me 3 magazines for a good price & said I could pay over the phone. SCAM Someone called “David” called trying to sell me a mobile phone contract. iPhone 13 pro max, 24 months with unlimited data, minutes and texts. For £40 a month. When enquired, came up with nonsense which made no sense. Asked for network provider, my name, and starting asking family names. Of course gave fake names and realised I knew they were scammers. Swearing dialogue commenced, said they were from Sri Lanka which seems nonsense. Accent sounded Indian. Called back on different number

06-09-2022 rang today, when I picked phone up and said hello they just hung up without saying anything. We live in the Leeds LS25 area.

Had a Spam Call with 01223936981 displayed (Cambridge). Recorded message played to me with usual '£700' suspicious charge from Amazon and '£2000' International Charge made on my Account etc. Ignored the request to respond. Telephoned the displayed number 15 minutes later, got 'unobtainable signal'. Note : an hour earlier had the same call but with a local Northampton number displayed. I called this number and the residents did not know anything about the Call. They reported it to BT for investigation.

Insurance, claiming to be calling about your life insurance saying they may be able to find you a better deal for your life insurance, asks the basic questions, but wants your account number and sort code to setup a direct debit by the end. Unsure if they are a legit company or not as obviously ended the call before giving details.

They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.
