Do not know anyone in Northern Ireland, so blocked number. It does not help if "CALLED ME.CO.UK" spells NORTHERN wrongly. Is "called me.co.uk" a scam also. One thing to check is the spelling!

64057 is the number to text to STOP reciving messages from We Buy Any Car.com On my network, O2 this is rated as a premium rate number/service so I was charged 13p to opt out. I dont know if other mobile providers recognise this number as a premium rate number or not. WBAC stated that they operate this as a free service and the cost charged is from O2 in my instance. I know its not a biggie - but strange to be charged.
SPAM - flagged by mobile as likely spam call. Caller introduced themselves as Vodafone, who I do not have a contract with and never have, so either a phishing attempt or if genuinely from Vodafone then unwanted marketing spam.

When I told them I wasn't on Virgin, they waffle on about how they do the security for all broadband suppliers, because Virgin supplies the lines for them all. I did get confused with accessing my account as I tried to do it through British Gas online, who kept saying they did not have a record of me, eventually I twigged that I access the account through Britishgaslite.co.uk not British Gas. We are now waiting for a smart meter to be fitted. I have been given a date and a time rather than a day or half day slot, I just need to see if they turn up, but so far 5 star rating.

I received a text from this number saying my apple pay was temporarily deactivated, and a link to reactivate it. Upon clicking the link I was then asked for my name, address and date of birth, and then got suspicious when asked for my full card details. Quick look on google found it is a know scam. Beware.

Asked if I was still a tenant or in housing association and that they were something to do with housing repair service. I advised I was a homeowner, so she apologised and agreed to take my number off their list. I've no idea if they are legit or not.

Sadly this IS British gas I phoned them and they admitted that yes they do make presumptive appointments for smart meter installs with the onus on the customer to cancel them The appointment was also on my British Gas online account There is currently NO obligation to have smart meters installed Sadly you cant cancel the appointment online you have to phone them Ive not cancelled yet but put my details in an online complaint and instructed them to cancel it If need be Ill make the call before the appointmen
