This call was a follow-up call from the Met Police after I reported a theft via their 101 non-emergency number. They repeated to me details from my 101 call, so I have no doubt it was the police. I imagine its unknown etc as it comes through their switchboard, I get the same when the wife rings me from work phone.

Weird automated man s voice followed by woman s voice saying call this number 01563503847. No idea who it is or what they want and I don t care. If number not recognised I don t answer.

This number call 6 times yesterday; it supposed to be a Chelmsford number. Did not answer them. Who are they?

Had a call today saying that they were a new company setting up in my local area and they already had a company in Leeds. Asked me if I drank water. Said no - he was surprised! Then said he didn t blame me. Asked if I would answer a few simple questions to be entered into a prize draw for a holiday. Told me if I won (which was very likely) then he would deliver the tickets to me in person at my house tomorrow. Said they were phoning from Virgin Media. I was suspicious so hung up and phoned Virgin Media who said it was a scam they wanted me to open a screen sharing app.

beware this is a timeshare scam, all very polite , however mine telno is ex-dir , told them in no uncertain terms to get lost or there would be trouble.

Called today and asked for me by name. Sounded suspicious I did not acknowledge that but asked "who is this?" a couple of times and the line then went dead. Rang 1471 to get the number and then called it back with 141 in front of it and the line; thus this is one of latest scams where to callers hide behind a false but apparently valid so as to get round call identity phones

A survey that I supposedly took some months ago, they asked if I have ever worked in a noisy environment and did it affect my hearing, after saying "pardon" about 5 times I tried another tactic,I continually ask for "their policy number" this seems to have done the trick as I haven t heard from them in weeks now.
