If I turned on my computer they would be able to clear them from it. When I said it was a scam, I was told that if I did not let them remove the hackers, Microsoft would have to stop any computer from being able to work from my address in the future.

This is a cold caller first thing in the morning, asking what i had in my loft. Denied being a cold caller or nuisance caller. Saying i would benefit from this call. Call center fed up with this number calling so I answered. Says they were from triage Housing about cavity wall insulation that we had and they can get us compensation. Told them we didn't have it so he progressed to to say the Government site said we did and how did i know that we didn't and they weren't trying to sell anything. I told them it was newly renovated and remove me from their calling list or I would report as a nuisance call. He hung up

SCAM Pretends to be from my bank, without saying the bank's name, referring to two specific transactions - but this is a recorded message! Then they ask you to press 2 & hold - that's when I hung up, I guess they would have asked me for account details. I just checked with my banking app just to be sure.
SCAM Purporting to be a bank card fraud department. The guy had an Indian accent... and I do not use the bank that was mentioned, so I put the phone down. The ONLY fraud was the caller. No doubt they would have been asking for all sorts of things - DO NOT give them any information whatsoever.

Scam Calls claiming to be virgin media, offering discount on virgin mobile, Asked if I use iPhone or Samsung I said I use a Bush washing machine, she asked how much I pay for virgin media, I said £2.50 a month, she asked if I want a new iPhone, I said an iPhone can't clean clothes? She hung up As a virgin media and virgin mobile customer it is very difficult to know if I am being called by virgin or a scammer. I no longer trust any caller to my phone and will only rely on them if I call them first

Supposed Microsoft help number who wants to run a programme into your computer. Yeah really. Scam no doubt
hard to understand operator with heavy foreign accent. Offered to stop all unwanted calls but required a lot of information. I terminated the call.
