Vende móviles y ordenadores portátiles en milanuncios.com y Wallapop, pero cuando contactas con él te dice que prefiere hacer envío y no quiere quedar en persona. Te dice que le hagas el pago por transferencia o Bizum. Una vez que pagas, no te manda el producto, te bloquea el WhatsApp y no te contesta las llamadas. Es un timador latino de Madrid.

They called saying that they were offering a free loft survey to see whether there was any asbestos there. This seemed to be quite unlikely in my home so I decided it was a scam.

Phoning from outreach asking how could help me. Clearly sales. At work.m so I cut off.
A lady with an English accent informed my that there has been a report identifying loft insulation materials as hazardous, and that everybody is entitled to a free survey. I explained that my property didn't fit her survey expectations and he apologised for bothering me and hung up. As a guess, anyone who opts for a survey will be told that any existing insulation is deadly and it will be removed at an exorbitant cost, but as I don't know that for certain I am only labelling this call as annoying.

This is a SCAM. The call started with a woman stating she was from Virgin Media and had noted problems with my router; asked if I had also noticed this. I said I hadn't. She said she could help me resolve the problem. I told her she couldn't, not least because I wasn't with Virgin Media. She told me she could help because all the providers' support centres were working together on this. I told her 'nice try' and hoped the weather was good in Delhi, or wherever she was 'phoning from. Then I hung up.

SCAM - has to be. This number called me today. I do not answer unrecognised numbers. They left a voice mail, foreign voice, couldn't really pick up on everything said, voice was quite deep. They did say I needed to make a payment and to answer emails. Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!
As it was our local area code we answered. After a short pause a male with an Asian accent said he was from BT and asked how we were, of course we instantly hung up, we are not BT customers.
