Claimed to be from Council Housing Association calling about reported repairs needed to my property. I was confused and asked what he meant as I am not in a council house. The voice on the other end repeated themselves, I told them again I am not in a council property and an automated AI thanked me for my time and hung up.

This number called my mobile then disconnected after 2 rings. I called it back and an automated voice in an irritating American accent said "Hi. Thanks for calling. Please hold while we connect you". After hearing this for 5 times in quick succession, I hung up and blocked the number. I'm guessing a spam or scam caller.

This guy poses to sell stuff on internet but once you’ve transferred money over to this guy he’ll disappear and stop answering his calls or he’ll keep on saying next day and make stories up. SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
