My number is not listed and they called my land line AND mobile! Apparently they sent me a letter, but wanted me to confirm my address. I never got anything and had never heard of them before! I told them on both occassions - they called withing 5 minutes on both lines - to take me complete details off their list and stop harrassing me or I would call the authoroties. On my question what it was about why they called they didn t answer. SCAM! They had my name.

Called and hung up though sounded like a call centre.

Occasional evening calls with either silence or the sound of background chatter. Voices sound retarded to be honest......just need an address so I can live up to my name.

The woman told me she was from a Talk Talk department and was calling about my router. After making her repeat the same thing several times I told her I had had the same or similar calls about 150 times, knew she was nothing but a criminal and.....by that time she had rung off! As usual, the number she had used for the call was as fictitious as her story. The crooks use different invented numbers each time.

Requested valuation through Zoopla to various Estate Agents this is the number that Your Move call back on it us their Online Enquiry line ... based in Southampton.

Called asking if I had life insurance and wanted to discuss some changes to regulations. They wanted me to tell them is I had life insurance now or in the past...which I obviously didn t divulge, then hung up! The caller had a very strong eastern European accent and was very difficult to understand.

Claim to be from TPS. Given no. by govt!! Very dodgy and suspect it s a scam claiming to prevent unwanted calls!

The caller didn t identify the company they were calling on behalf of and when it became obvious I wasn t going to fall for his sales spiel he abruptly hung up the phone.

Indian guy called up claiming I ve had an accident in the last 3 years, I advised the guy no I haven t had an accident, line went silent for a moment. He then asked if I can do him a favour? Which was to lend him money as he is from Pakistan and has no money, I immediately put the phone down.

They keep ringing me three times today... So annoying! If they ring again I will try to get more information out of them...

Have no idea on who this is. They never left a message either. Very suspicious.

Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. I said I would not continue if they would not identify themselves @nd they terminated call. Asian man was calling. Don?t think they targeted her because of her age. The remarkable thing is this is just one of a number of calls I ve had about a minor car accident I had about a year ago. My phone number was given to my insurance company ( a reputable company I ve always thought ) someone passed it on to these chancers. We talk about the rising menace of fraud and scams, this practise of selling on customers details has to stop. Whatever happened to the data protection act?
