Due to suggestions from some websites, I have had my fair share of cryptocurrency scams. Despite losing a significant amount of money, I was still instructed to transfer further funds in order to unlock my account since, among other things, my balance was not usable. SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
Usay Compare, legitimate company, only call you if you've enquired online. Bupa use them to compare online enquiries rather than do their own. They will remove your details if you bother to answer your phone and ask them to, rather than hiding from it and complaining on a random website like a child

DANGER ! Definitely Spam. Lady with Indian accent as O2 customer service telling me they had received multiple complaints about signal problem. I said I was satisfied with signal coverage. She then tried to give me a number to call back. I challenged her and told her I thought she not not legit. She started arguing. I said a real customer agent would not argue like that. Put down the phone.

Silent call - rang early morni9ng and when I picked up there was no voice, nothing. I said hello, but there was no reply - said it again and then the line went dead. Few people use our landline these days, and only numbers we recognise (family and friends) so I suspect this was spam.

Said he was from bt openreach. I am not with openreach. He said my Internet speeds are slow. I said my boyfriend was openreach engineer. He started trying to guess his name and then called me Georgia. Which is not my name. His accent was not a British accent. Scam.

Fraud - I think. A male with I think and Asian accent called from this number. He asked for me by name and said he was calling from Microsoft then asked if I was the main user of the computer in my hone. I asked "Which Computer is that then?" and he hung up. Another number check site has lots of people checking this number and it appears to be from various different places so I think it must be an attempt to access a persons computer or something like that.

Spam. Trying to get you to agree to a survey to sell insulation. Cold caller telling you your loft insulation fibre is coming through your ceiling into your lungs. Asked what insulation they are recommending and he hung up.
Claimed to be calling from 'MES' about life insurance. Smelled like a scam right from the off, so it mostly like is. Probably just best to hang up and ignore them. If it's important and a genuine issue they'll just write to you.
