I do not answer phone numbers beginning 01202 as when checked here all have been identified as possible fraud/scam calls. By mistake I answered a call from this number yesterday which led to a man trying to discuss my recent install of roof insulation (never happened). I told the man in no uncertain terms to stop calling me and guess what happened today at 1230, same number calling again ( No didn’t answer). Apparently unable to recognise rejection of their possible fraud/scam.
Told me my BT direct debit was about to expire - I'm not with BT and don't have a direct debit. Put phone down when he wanted to confirm my name!

Sarcastic and rude male just kept repeating he wanted to give me a quote for car warrenty on my car (mentioned make and model along with car reg!) Wouldn t remove my number when asked. I insisted to be put through to a human being who doesn t have attitude. When I was I told them unless they remove my number, I shall deafen their telecallers with a whistle next time they call, and I hope they suffer for it. It's a scam. An automated voice advises your Amazon Prime is about to be renewed (we have Prime but it's not due for renewal for many months) and to press 1 to speak to an advisor. This scam has been widely reported in the press, do not press 1, just hang up or better yet, don't pick up at all.

This is a high pressure sales caller purporting to be from a company called ESI, although I could find no details of them online. Their aim is to get people on good defined benefits pension schemes to sell out. They talk a good game, but this smells awfully like a scam outfit which is attempting to get people to transfer monies from safe defined benefits schemes to them, which is incredibly worrying. Your best bet if you receive a call from this number is to block it.
