SCAM Very stern and meanacing sounding man who introduced himself as an 'officer' said my national insurance number (UK) had been suspended due to some repeat offences. He then invited me to speak to another 'officer' if I pressed '1'. I burst out laughing and ended the call. Remember no Government Department will call you in this way.

My mum got a slightly dodgily worded text from this number quoting the last four digits of her Co-operative Bank card and asking if she'd made some transaction or other (which she hadn't). She phoned the bank (not the number that sent the text) and found that there had indeed been a number of fraudulent transactions on her card. So the number is very probably legit, but I recommend you phone the bank to be on the safe side ????

TAXES / HMRC Lying bunch of bastards trying it on to try and scare people into giving them info, states there is a claim against you , if not addressed a warrant for arrest would be issued (Standard scammer scare tactic) and to press 1 to speak to an agent. If you choose to speak to an agent, feel free to tell them that they are sub-human scum.
