Variety of 0161 numbers call every day - painful! Block every one, but new on next day

This is Scottish Power and they don t leave messages. They have been trying to contact me since I told them I was leaving to go to another provider. When you try to call the number back the phone is always engaged. I must get 3 or 4 calls each day but don t answer as I have number recognition and don t want to speak to them. They can call for ever but they are wasting their time.

This number kept calling my mobile, but I kept missing speaking with whomever was calling. I actually picked up a call today and a man with a sing-song accent (hard to understand) said he was from the Citizen s Advice Bureau, which I thought highly unlikely. He then went on to ask me if I had had any accidents recently - any trips, falls, car accidents etc etc. Scam merchant - I told him to remove my name from his call sheet and never call again.

Aggressive tone electronic generated messages left on answerphone starting last week on daily basis claiming debt where non exists.

This debt collection agency uses auto diallers to harass people. My advice, when you see the number displayed, is either divert it answer phone - they will not leave a message, or accept the call but don t speak and immediately hang up, that way they pay for the call but get absolutely nowhere.

This was a phishing attempt - using robotic voice. They claimed to have been from the inland revenue. I have reported them to the Inland Revenue.

They have taken £39.99 from my account and still waiting for my loan which I know now wont arrive. My advise to people is to cancel your bank card at your bank stating the reason for cancellation as this loan company may take further funds. You will then receive a new bank card which will stop them from taking further funds. They called my number asking for me by a name I haven t gone by for nearly 5 years, so I am assuming that somewhere someone / some company, has sold on their client list. I said she wasn t available and could I take a message, the scouse guy gave Chase Alexander as the company name. The same company that pretty much harassed me last year on various different landline and mobile numbers. Each time i just said I didn t know the person they called for etc.

As with the comments above I received two calls from HMRC saying they were filing a lawsuit against me. I was told to press 1 to speak to a case officer who had a strong Indian accent, asked me to spell my name and confirm my address (which I didnt and put the phone down).
