If you receive a cold call from an organisation you don t know, just take as many details as you can, even if it s just the number and time of call and report it the Information Commissioner s Office (ICO) via this link https://ico.org.uk/concerns/ If enough people do this these companies will be fined - sometime pushing them out of business - and we can all enjoy owning a private phone again.
Answered the house phone to the number 01799513652 … I kept on saying hello (4 times) but no response ….so very annoying now assuming it was telemarketing or spam, call came from Saffron Walden area and we don't know anyone in that area … very strange as we have BT call protect.
Seemingly not legitimate. Called three times about after a very low single figure normal transaction also texted more than once. Transaction approved. Tread very carefully. This number may have been hijacked.
