No longer do I speak when I answer a number not familiar. If it's a cold call, they will speak first. If it's someone who knows me, they will speak if I don't. This one just hung up, so I can deduce it was an unsolicited and unwanted call and blocked them.

Then the same message in Chinese. As I did not press a button, the call ended. (And I am not waiting for a parcel). I am very suspicious, as I never got a call from Royal Mail from a mobile number, they normally leave a notification behind to pick it up yourself. I've had two missed calls from this local phone number, but they don't bother to leave a message & when I phone back it is an automated message that let's me know that nobody will answer and I can't leave a message. If you don't warn someone you're going to phone, they're not going to answer. My only guess is that it's someone from the council or Severn Trent possibly.

Bot call to check if person behind number is real, got call most likely due to being spam called recently from known scammers. Calls, when answered, will keep connection alive until you say something, then hangs up. Most likely records what you say to then give to other members of scam organizations that will most likely cold call to scam further.

I have no idea how you made this a number from Russia, no idea what or who it is, just rings and hangs up, so blocked. DON'T EVER ring back, if they don't speak it's of no use to you, and is one of the ways to rip you off, because it registers as a live number and they docan sell your number onto other scam lists; and the number can get diverted to a premium number that will cost you serious money, search it before anything else, and report when it's bad.
64057 is the number to text to STOP reciving messages from We Buy Any Car.com On my network, O2 this is rated as a premium rate number/service so I was charged 13p to opt out. I dont know if other mobile providers recognise this number as a premium rate number or not. WBAC stated that they operate this as a free service and the cost charged is from O2 in my instance. I know its not a biggie - but strange to be charged.
