I had a call from 08004118899 trying to persuade me to buy plan to cover a Hotpoint washing machine as according to them my warranty has expired. Since I have never registered this machine and I doubt the respected shop from which it was bought would give them my details I was suspicious of their company and proposed service. Looking at these comments it would appear I am correct in resisting their advances.

Had a call from this number, asking to speak to my mother. I explained that she is 90 and deaf so could I help, to which I received a very arrogant response that he could only speak to my mother. I told him again she was 90 and if he couldn t speak to me I wasn t going to let him try to speak to her. He said (very arrogantly) he would send her a letter rather than talk to me, so I told him he could do what he liked and hung up on him. Silent call deemed to be a scam call after checking on internet sites so number blocked.

They never spoke and if they had I would have told them to delete my number. Would have been a waste of time but hey ho...have now blocked the number

The call has been placed from one of Repsol Sinopec s offshore installations. It is very unlikely to be for marketing purposes. More likely it is an offshore worker trying to call home.

Cold caller trying to convince me that I'd been a car accident recently and needed help. Person was very insistent and rude.

Called (twice) to tell me that a survey showed few people in my area with alarm. Explained I have one and not interested. 2nd time asked to be removed from list as on TPS. Have now blocked on BT as well

This is a training and education organisation. They get your details from job search websites. It is not a scam but they are selling something!
