Caller said he was "Bruce" (he had a foreign accent, so I doubt this was his real name) from "Local Government Grant Scheme". I asked what company he represented; he said he was "not from a company. I am calling on behalf of the Local Government Grant Scheme". I asked if he was from the local government, and he said yes. "Which local government?" I asked. "Nottinghamshire," he replied. I asked for his phone number, and which department he worked for. He gave this number, and I said this was not a Nottingham

Search against this number after someone called asking to speak to two directors saying it was "an urgent financial matter". Someone else from their office - company name Greenfields - earlier and spoke to our accounts manager and was told they could assist in financial matters. Basically, they prey on companies who are having financial issues promising to help. This is the third call from this company today. Perhaps the right hand should know what the left hand is doing!

They re trying to sell you hold music and messages for your phone system. They claim they work with suppliers associated with your company and state they want to work on a big project with you and your supplier. Obviously a lot of Google bashing goes on before they phone you. They refuse to speak to anyone or tell you anything unless they re speaking to the owner / managing director of the company. no idea who this was as I was out when they rang, but one other person has searched for this number in past 3 days so I am assuming it s one of those unsolicited pest callers
