However, this site states that this number has been looked up ten times and does not appear to be malicious, but I would still advise NOT to answer or call this number - if it's important enough, they will message or leave a voicemail. It's a scam. Someone claiming to work for BT says your broadband is compromised. Either ignore or waste their time for as long as you're having fun at their expense.

SCAM Automated call from 'Bank Security' saying payments had been taken from my card, one of £300 to Amazon and one an International Transfer of £1,100 (figures approximate). Call sent because, "I had never used these services before." An invitation followed to Press 1 or 2 to cancel or speak to an advisor. Looks like a genuine number from my geographical area. I did not press any digits, hung up and did not attempt a call-back. Perhaps a spoofed number - potentially dangerous.

This is a scam number which charges a premium rate at 3. 60 per minute to connect you to a service, they will likely put you on hold to music to make as much money as possible. Do not be duped into calling this number. Before calling any phone number, double check the website’s URL to ensure it definitely belongs to your provider - 0333 numbers are the standard call rate 0903 are premium rates.
