Indian male called me regarding computer equipment he said I had pre ordered to the tune of over £1000. From Amazon I never made any ordered. Highly dangerous scam.

Some kind of call centre, asking whether we pay for our gas and electric and claiming they're carrying out a "national investigation" on whether we can be compensated.
SCAM: I believe this caller is possibly cloning local STD numbers. In an American automated-voice it then claims a substantial purchase has been made fron Amazon via your VISA account. Both of these accounts I have since checked and have not been affected in this way, hence my reporting this bogus land-line call.

I said no again but wouldn't take no for an answer I asked why not using Amazon number it was because it was a security number. Told unless I did as asked, payment would go ahead. SCAM . Some woman phoned up asking about damage in my home. Kept asking what issues I had and whether I had damp or mould etc. when I asked where she got my number and why she was calling she hung up.
