asking me personal questions about an accident over a year ago. purported to be instructed by my insurers. asking personal questions. i firmly asked twice who they were and why they were calling. caller clearly panicked at this and hung up.

Looks like a bogus caller. No answer when picked up.
Automated call saying they are from HMRC and if you don't press one now a warrant will be issued against you for fraud. Total scam.... avoid at all costs and do NOT press one. Apparently if you do you your telephone bill will be charged an extortionate amount of money - not sure how much because, fortunately, I did not press one!!!
Claims to be calling from Virgin Media, when challenged (I'm on TPS, I'm not in a Virgin cable area, etc) they hang up. Same outfit call three or four times a day, always from a different spoofed number.

The wording was slightly suspect but the link provided did look like the EE website. I phoned EE directly, it is a phising scam. The website is a fake and they want you to put your details in.

Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. Same officious voice that has called from different no.s beginning 777191 re Inland Revenue etc, threatening court etc. I hung up after the first few words which I think were fraud squad, got an order bla bla. I block these numbers but they keep changing the calling number.

Twice this number called me. The second time immediately after I cancelled the first call. I refuse to answer any unknown numbers and I have not given whom ever they are my number or given permission to anyone else to do so. Seriously thinking about changing my number but I doubt that will solve these unwanted calls.
Scam caller stating hmrc have a case against you, not true, if press 1 will be charged excessively. Should be hung and dried.

SPAM Don't answer & block. This way my most recent call from a raft of UK geographic numbers purportedly calling on behalf of Carphone Warehouse. As per my last similar call I politely requested to be removed from their database, to which the caller told me to shut up and F**k-off then hung up. Best avoided

Scammers, said from company Smart Selections about loft insulation. The company was dissolved by comulsory strike off in 2018, when asked for a return phone number they hung up.
Tried to call on 2 numbers the other being 07428071386.. I was at work tried to call back and states number not recognised.. Might answer next time and have some fun with them!

Rang me claiming that I had an accident on the road in the past 2 years, I have not. People were heard laughing and messing around in the background. Do not trust them, ask them to take your name off the list as I did. Price comparison websites for car insurance had to have passed on me and my partners number as he got the same call straight after me
