SCAM claimed to be calling from O2. Hung up immediately knowing they were not legit. Instantly got texts from 'O2 UK' sending a OTP which I never requested. Noted that previous texts were from 'O2UK' (no space).

Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

Please be aware this number is a scam tried calling my friend about cryptocurrency he does not have and never will.
A voice said he was James from Relief Energy who said; "I've been trying to call you for a few days now, actually." Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. I've had two missed calls from this local phone number, but they don't bother to leave a message & when I phone back it is an automated message that let's me know that nobody will answer and I can't leave a message. If you don't warn someone you're going to phone, they're not going to answer. My only guess is that it's someone from the council or Severn Trent possibly.
Phoned today, said from O2, simple response im in a contract, thank you for your call and I hung up. One thing i will say, when the caller phone me, I really didnt like her introduction, hello my dear, Im from o2!

SCAM - claim to be from BT Openreach and advise my internet searching has gone from private to public. They had my home address details (but I didn’t confirm anything). My system has not been compromised, as I have all my security settings nailed down and up to date. Don’t divulge or confirm anything with them, even when they say they are putting a block on your IP, it’s nonsense.
