Believed to be a scam call, no one at the end of the line when I picked it up. Just a recorded message about a bank account and some unusual transactions!
This is a scam caller, pretending to be from O2. - They tell you that they have sent two texts and can they have the code. When you read the texts they are from O2. It says that if someone calls and asks for this code THEY DO NOT WORK FOR O2. Avoid at all costs.

Frankly what’s the point of the ICO/Action Fraud/7726 text reporting and all the other options Surely their easy to locate with todays technology and number of reports of this and similar numbers!

Just received a call from this number from an articulate young man who attempted to argue with me when I questioned who he was and shouted over me rather than listening to what I was saying. It was apparently something to do with green energy and saving me money. I said I did not deal with cold callers and asked him not to ring again as he could not save me money as my energy bills are fixed but he said I did deal with cold callers as I had answered the phone! It was altogether a very unpleasant call.

The number 01736 735261 called me about 10.30am 28/06/23 and it was a recorded message from an International Banking service stating I had made a payment of £300 to Amazon and £1100 to another provider. Told me to press 1 if correct and 2 to speak with an adviser. Pressed 2 and answered by "This is Officer Stephen, how can I help". When I asked which organisation he represented the phone went dead.

The number was in an email which said it was from a friend (who I've not been in contact with for years) , asking for "help", but it was very much like another email I had just received from someone else saying he was a friend but that was spam. Fraud I believe this was an attempt to get my debt card information. I typed in the url filled up with an all red page telling me this was a fraudulent site and to not contact or talk to these people. UNSAFE SITE trying to get my credit card, social sec. info etc. It had the phone number 208-537-7505 which if you call it, get nothing but what sounds like a fake ring - No one picks up. The URL they sent in the text led me to the warning site. The text will ask if you used your card and the amt charged.
This number (07587031637) texted me this message. "SANTANDER: Your one time passcode is 00684. If you did not request a code, please call us on 03300435407" 1. I did not request a one time pin 2 I don't have Santander 3. The number I was asked to ring is not a Santander num. Infact, it is for a business called...CMA Somerset in Yeovil. The business may be a front for this fraud scheme. Be vigilant. Very odd.
