This number called today at 07.36 and claimed to be from Microsoft. The person with an Asian accent told me my computer has been compromised and said have you herd of hackers. I asked for an email to confirm it was Microsoft but he reassured me it was and trust him he has details of my computer security number, we went round incircles a bit, then I put the phone down. 10secons later he called back asking why I put the phone down as I new he was genuine but called me from a different number02088884827.

Scam calls, usually related to Crypto. These people have been harassing me for over a year due to the previous owner of my phone number having filled out an inquiry on their website. They call from numbers generated in the UK and across Europe/Asia. The number is not in service when you try to call it back.
Apparently a call to say my internet is going to be cut off in 24 hours! Yeah yeah.
Got a call from this number - silence on the end, so hung up. If you try ringing them back it rings twice before cutting off. Suspected automated daller trying to identify active numbers. Blocking is advised.

Insurance scam cold call twice 12.12.2022 at 12:59 and 15:19. When asked what they were trying to sell me, they closed the call. On the second occassion when I asked where they had obtained my number, they closed the call. I've now blocked.

I thought initially this was a wrong telephone number put in. but seeing as it has been flagged up a number of times. I think it's a phishing call. SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person
