UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Worldwide scam phonecall from DHL in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. I love these calls. This one was from UK Times. On a previous occasion they asked for me by my real name. I said I had passed on (take that as you wish) and I gave them a fictitious name which they used this time. I answered all the questions and now hope to receive phone calls from all the sponsors which I can then report to the Information Commissioner s Office. As the call was from overseas the TPS has absolutely no control over these kinds of callers.

The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

Just had a call to my landline from this number, saying it was a survey about loft installation and asking me to confirm a few details , which I refused to do, and then he said its nothing to worry about, I said I wasn't worried about anything otherwise it would be me ringing up someone, not them ringing me. I let him babble on a bit more and then said let me stop you there, it's my Husband you need to talk to not me and he's not in, so he just hung up. I would say this was a SCAM.
