I too received a call at a funeral at 1020 this morning about so-called PPI, when asked how they got a ex directory number, they were reluctant to answer their source. I informed them a complaint will be submitted for their harrassment, I have also sent a letter to the BBC Panorama. programme who are investigating companies under various names. I have been called on numerous occasions throughout the day from the number originating from Doncaster. I have no connection with Doncaster personally or work related. I have checked all policies held and none correspond. Probably easier to answer the call to confirm but this has the feel of a scam/cold call.
I was called on my mobile from this number at 15.05 on 4 May 2023. I didn't get to the phone before it stopped ringing and there was no message left. On 24 April 2023, I was also called from a number in the same range, that is 0141 320 0285, with exactly the same results. I've now blocked both numbers, but no doubt they could call me next week from 0141 320 0275 or similar! I've given it the benefit of the doubt with a rating of Annoying. I think it's actually likely to be Dangerous.

Asisn caller claims to be from Open Reach Technical Team, says they have received reports our internet speed is too slow. He asks you to log into your computer and check the speed. When I told him I did not have a computer only a tablet he hung up. It's a scam DO NOT LOG ON TO YOUR COMPUTER

NUmber appears to be from a company alled DeVere's. A financial services company who offer finnancial services such as wealth planning, tax optimisation schemes, moving final salary pensions to tax shelters abroad, etc. I have had no personal dealings with the company and cannot comment on their service. I was cold called. I assume they saw that I was a former employee of a blue chip company and they offered to move my final salary pension abroad. They could be perfectly legitimate, I cannot say.

Keeps calling daily am no longer picking it up. When I did answer a moron tried getting me to claim for overpaid loan insurance. Hung up on him. Don t answer. OR answer and blow a really loud whistle down the phone.
