Someone called me from this number and asked me if I was "my own name". I stupidly confirmed it and then confirmed my email address. They started telling me about an iPad that I had won. <> <> <> Then followed a lot of swearing on my part before they hung up. Next time, if someone asks who I am, I ll ask who they are before hanging up.

Answered this tonight after repeated calls, its a PC scam where they get you to look at your event viewer then try to convince you to download software so they can take over your computer.. DO NOT ANSWER. Or... If you do, do what I did, keep them on the phone for 10 mins then tell them you know its a scam!

My record will show that I have been alert through two telephone contacts from my sheltered housing flat in ensuring that my bills are timeously paid with appropriate assurances. I, no-one I know, and no-one in their right mind would answer an unknown number. After searching through hospital numbers for fear it might be a dear friend trying to get in touch I found tonight the 10 or more calls came from my energy supplier with whom prior arrangements were amicably in place. Quantitatively this is harassment:

Always press 9 to remove from caller list but keeps phoning. When I connected I asked 11 times to be removed from their database they just kept asking why I didn t want the money I m owed. Asked to speak to supervisor told he was a supervisor, this needs reporting to ofcom.

I am fed up of these people phoning every day. I try and not pick up if the number looks at all suspicious but it just wastes my time. It is time we stopped these scammers.
