Caller rang my home and my husband answered, the caller asked for me by full name then when told I wasn t home he abruptly ended the call and hung up. Who are these people is it a scam?

Claims to be from Openreach to discuss a service issue with my ISP. Wanted me to run a program from a website my ISP has blocked. Scammers??

Received a call from this number, answered but no-one spoke. Decided to stay on the line to see what happened. Complete silence for about 30 seconds then the line went dead. When I 1471 d I got the number 0161 918 0023. On calling the number, I am informed that "This number is temporarily out of order"! Can someone please explain to me the legality of this? The number is obviously NOT out of order when they call me but it is when I call them? Of course it s a scam and, as usual, there seems to be no recours

Called claiming to be Scottish Power. I stupidly went through the security questions (address and DOB) as I am in process of leaving Scottish Power. He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. I am abroad, I have had calls from this +44 20 7097 0859, two or three times a day for the last two days. NO message and it when I did answer it seemed to cut off. On calling it, its GLOBAL something and seems like RUBBISH and does not really connect. Generally not good.
