Received a call from this number today at 9:15am and the line was silent then the call ended.
Brechin (Scotland) cloned number allegedly from 02. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!

The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. Usually get three to four calls per week from same people using different numbers. Received a call from Amir from Contractor Resource to discuss life insurance. He advised that I had contacted them several years ago about a quote. When questioned about GDPR he advised that he would have my details removed. I have no recollection of ever enquiring about Life Insurance with any company.
