Caller claimed to be from EE customer service, told me I have a good credit rating and I was inline for an upgrade, I informed her I was not an EE customer so then she said I must be an O2 customer, I told her I wasnt and she then droppped the carrier on me as I was suspicious.

Warned of unusual transactions on my card including Amazon and international transfers. Unsubtle scam but using local number identity meant I at least answered the call.

Difficult to hold a sensible conversation, transpired person wanted to make a case for selling wall and roof insulation. Pretending to be from British Gas - telling me to report my meter readings using a weird prefix - I believe this is a phone hacking scam.
Apparently someone from "credit investigation" saying I have "several debts" but that they know "I'm paying them off" and attempted to get more information from me. Absolutely a massive scam caller, no company name given and just factually incorrect. They're fishing for some poor person who's in debt that will believe the nonsense they're saying. Be very careful and do not give them information, they had my full name. Scammer/Phishing.

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

Talking about issue of not being covered due to non-disclosure for older policies. Claimed not to be sales, but during the call I did hear in the background applause and cheers (which indicates someone did make a sale in the same room). I suspect it is a scam designed either to sell you a product or get information about your existing products
Overseas noisy background call centre female claiming to be from ‘the technical department’ not a specific company just technical department. Red flags were didn’t know my name or address. I challenged her told her she was talking rubbish about being a technical department. I used a few choice profanities to which she called me a few! I asked her if those were technical terms and she hung up! Obvious scamming call. The call was at 08:45 on a Saturday.

SPAM this number has called 5 times today I have never answered the call and they never leave a message on the answer machine which means they are not genuine.
Just had a call from 01430860504. Automated message supposedly from my bank. Said there was 2 transactions on my account. £250 to Amazon and £1300 to a money transfer company. I have one of these calls every month. SCAMMERS.

I did get confused with accessing my account as I tried to do it through British Gas online, who kept saying they did not have a record of me, eventually I twigged that I access the account through Britishgaslite.co.uk not British Gas. We are now waiting for a smart meter to be fitted. I have been given a date and a time rather than a day or half day slot, I just need to see if they turn up, but so far 5 star rating.
