Indian caller said he was from the Department of Health and asked to speak to a certain person when told it was the wrong person he confirmed the number and asked who he was speaking to as I was suspicious of a scam it told him it didn’t matter as I was not the person he wanted then hung up

I have been telephoned this afternoon – apparently by EE – to tell me that I was getting a 45% discount on my bill for the next year? I was then passed on to a supervisor to confirm my email address – which I did. Just received a call from this number on my mobile. I answered and said "Hello?" whereupon the call was immediately disconnected. I don't recognise the number, but suspect some sort of scam or nefarious activity. Although the criminals mainly target my landline, some of them seem to have my mobile number.

**SCAM** Same as last review - called from 'Vodafone' & said someone had changed my phone number. Recieved text with code during the call. I asked him to call me back in 30 mins, he said "why, are you busy"? He couldn't verify he was from Vodafone and said they'd send an email (not recieved an hour later..). Checked my Vodafone account and no activity. TBH I'm used to being ripped off by Vodafone but at least I can see it happening :)

Housing maintenance scam? Called them back several times and calls were answered by different people each time. They then called me back and asked for my wife by her first name. They said they were calling people who rented council property and asked if this was still the case with my house......which is a private house and always has been. Now blocked.

I found this number on my 11 year old daughters phone and when I checked it out found that it belongs to a 40 year old man named Ali who met my daughter through Instagram and was trying to get her to meet up with him - reported to police who are now investigating and have arrested the individual for interview - he is VERY DANGEROUS beware
