It s only British Gas trying to get feedback on receipt contact you made with them. Nothing sinister at all. And if you call the number then they can stop them happening in future. Also, ex-directory, if you ve ever given them your number previously then that what they use. They don t sell your number on.

Have been called numerous times on various dates by this company, but 3 times yesterday was the final straw. Said they were a Debt Advice Agency and when asked, they indicated that they got my number because I had entered a recent competition online and included the detail - why would me entering a competition be any indication that I need debt advice?!
