Claimed to be HMRC saying facing serious legal consequences if you don't reply!!

Man with Indian accent said his name was Ray Hamilton claiming to be calling from HMRC and said I was due nearly £500 in tax rebate. Asked for my card details but didnt give them to him as it is a scam. HMRC wouldnt ring to say you are due a tax rebate let alone ask for your card details on the phone.

The Caller states they are from Amazon and calling to update my Prime Account, asked me to go on My Computer, as I'd just arrived home, I had to wait for My computer to start, I was asked, do You use your computer for more than Amazon,online Shopping ,E-bay and do You Bank Online,straight away,I smelt a Rat and cut the call, they called back 3 times,I have informed Amazon. Collect as much info from them, such as Web Address.

SCAM / SPAM rang me on house phone and automated message said it was my broadband provider (name not specified) and that they were going to cut it off due to illegal use. it went on to say press 1 to speak to someone.... blah blah blah, I hung up but did not ring my broadband provider from my house phone. by the way WHO CALLED ME I have no idea what automat and paid number is as an option to choose for type of call.. maybe you could explain?
