Very weird and rude phone call, creates a shady of mystery in the call to get you calling them back (DONT DO OFCOURSE)

Had a call from this number a few minutes ago. Said they were from a financial institution and asked how I was doing. Told them that I didn’t want to be called again and asked him to disconnect which he said he couldn’t. When I told him that I worked for a bank within a contact centre and that calls could be disconnected by agent he huffed and then eventually hung up.
