Potentially dangerous scam. Got a call from them this morning. In the most Queen's English claiming to be HMRC and stating that there is a tax fraud case against me. Threatening to issue a warrant and arrest me if I don't call them back... All hallmarks of a scam, not addressing me by name and going straight into threats territory.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

Pretends to be from Talk Talk technical department knows all your details I have been dealing with talk talk to repair an ongoing fault and get daily calls from this number first a silent call followed by being harassed and abusive language is used when I refuse as soon as I block one number the use another and won t give up. Caller from this number claimed to be from EE network which was unbelievable due to thos callers total lack of professionalism and dreadful attitude. Obviously yet just another tedious no hoper trying to scam the vulnerable with all the brinkmanship, skill and dexterity of a toddler with a plastic sword. If this is the level our scammers are currently operating at, then we genuinely have very little to fear.

Apparently I am about to have my internet connection disconnected because of illegal activity. Then asked to press 1 to speak to company director.
The number is likely to belong to Aberystwyth Wales, but I feel the calls just as annoying and will ignore them in the future.
