Likely scam. They rang me. I picked up but didn't say anything into the phone. They didn't say anything either and then hung up. I always answer in this way when I receive an unexpected phone call from an unfamiliar number. Legitimate callers always say "hello" and try to get a response. Scammers hang up. It happens every time!

Missed call - Missed the call. Rang back out of curiosity and got the message "This number has been suspended through suspected misuse or fraud. If affected call..." and gave the Fraud Line Interestingly, I look at my Blocked Numbers log and I have in the past blocked 0161 636 3721 - 3726, so it must be an allocation bought up by someone dodgy who just flips the outgoing number when it gets burned.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Text message from this number claiming to be my child in a dire situation involving a smashed phone, lack of money etc. No name given and clearly a fake message. Did not provide my bank details.
