Probably a scammer used a spoofed but valid UK number.

Advantis Debt Collection, keep harassing me with different numbers, to try phish for info. I know for a fact I DO NOT HAVE ANY OUTSTANDING DEBT, so im ignoring their calls, they can do one.

This person asked to speak to me - I asked who was calling & she put the phone down - I called back using 141 & the number is now unavailable - Very strange

Calls every day, sometimes several times a day and usually in the afternoons about a ficticious accident a family member was supposed to have had in 2013.

When called the person answering did not know the address of the head office! The name of chief executive given by staff different to that held by Companies House CEBTA (Campaign for Ethics for Business Transfer Agents) and Google have some very intersting comments! See also 0800 393664

As a consequence of reading the Sunday Telegraph on 2 August 2015 I saw an online car extended warranty advert. Applied to the URL and completed online form; received a quote for ?1000/yr which is excessive and I will not use. Now being called by 0118-971-9700 daily But have blocked that number on my phone.

Keep calling and hang up as soon as a/m picks up call. If it is a genuine British Gas caller and servicing is due, why not write to the customer and get the customer to contact ...

Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". PPI automated call. Will probably be followed fairly soon after with a call from a private number with some snotty nosed git who knows more about you than you d like. Don t engage them. If you do have a PPI claim print the form from the FSA website and send it yourself. Thats all these guys do anyway and they take 20% (or more) of whatever settlement you get.....
