Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. Irish lad said he was calling about my frozen pension. i played along and made up stuff about a fictitious pension which he VERIFIED. When said I was just digging out the file to get the pension reference number he hung up, l am a pension administrator so can baffle them with terminology. Proves these calls are a scam.

Seem to have now blocked 0843 980 12xx where xx so far is anywhere between 01 to 51 - 47 just the latest. Last time i answered it from one of these numbers there was nobody there. Wonder if phone numbers of the call centre staff are also on their autocall list.

Yes this is a children s brain damage charity and I have had dealings with them in the past, however received 2 calls from them today 1st one was just heavy breathing left on answer phone? Second call wasn t answered and no message left, shall be having strong words if they phone again.

This number left a message about water supply problems. I rang the water company (Dee Valley) and heard the same message, so this number is genuine and is used to warn customers...

This number has called a number of times and left no message. Eventually, found it was the AA touting for me to renew my membership. Because of this calling practice they have lost my business.

I was called to day and the man asked to speak to my husband. I asked him what about and he said that it was about his HSBC holdings which needed assessing. I told him he couldn t be from HSBC as my husband died this year and HSBC were well aware of this. He apologised quickly and rang off.

Called me today, left a message, a foreign accent that could?ve been computer generated. James Anderson from HMRC said if I don?t call back they will take matters further! I don?t have any issues with HMRC, I don?t pay tax due to working part time and don?t claim benefits so know this is not a genuine call!! Don?t be fooled! The number comes up as Glasgow!
