I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. They applied just enough pressure when the texts to change my account detail came in that I didn't have time to read them properly. Thankfully, I read them after the call an

I first asked him to confirm my IP address (dynamically allocated) and he gave me something he made up - that didn't have all 4 sets of numbers. Claimed to be from RBS credit card fraud in relation to an SMS NHS Covid phishing attempt on my phone.
